HOW TO ORDER
1.
Please send me an email (travis@bloosquallsgarlicfarm.com) stating what you would like to have and please give me your address so I can figure shipping costs. Note...please don't write me saying you would like a variable amount of garlic, I get this a lot... "I would like 2 - 3 lbs of Chesnok and 1 or 2 lbs of whatever else" I need you to tell me exactly what you want.
2.
I will send a reply saying that I received the request and answer any questions you may have.
Garlic bulbs are sold for $12.00 per pound. The price is the same if you buy 1 or 100 pounds. I have a grower friend in WI, she sells by the bulb instead of by the pound..ok, this is nice for people who don't want a whole pound of garlic. I understand why she does this now. I don't do it that way but will take orders for say 3 of this and 5 of that etc and weight them up. $12.00/lb comes to .75 cents an ounce. That is how I'll do it from now on
I can put together a sampler box of bulbs (your choice) for somebody that wants to grow different varieties without all the big expense. Unlike other growers, I give you a choice of what and how many you want...not just a set variety, amount and at a very high price for putting it together for you. I figure it's my job to give you what you want.
Note...this is major pain in the ass but I'll do it for you because I want a happy customer
Garlic size: not all varieties are the same size or get as big. Nootka Rose and Kidwell is a smaller bulb than say Chesnok or German White. I can not say that everybody will get the biggest bulbs as there are only so many. I will fill the earliest orders with the biggest bulbs. The normal count to a lb is 6 to 8 for a 2 1/2" + size bulb. You will receive more cloves to plant with a smaller size.
I accept PayPal for method of payment, it's easy and quick. The only bad thing about paypal is I get dinged 4% everytime somebody pays me through them. This year you will pay that 4% so I don't have to.
I have been getting dozens of requests for garlic lately but the people are not familiar with paypal so I'll accept a personal check from you...Most people who order garlic are pretty much trust worthy. I'll ship the garlic in good faith the check is good. please don't screw me over. I work very hard to grow these bulbs for you.
I'm not a big enough farmer to have the fancy auto ordering page and auto shipping calculator. There is a big flaw in shipping calculators in the garlic business. The computer figures it at a set rate..there are so many variables that the program doesn't know about such as the use of the USPS flat rate box for orders over 2 lbs. A real thinking human must do this to give you the customer the best deal on shipping.
I have learned I can send 1 lb of bulbs for about $5.00 if you're close to me...in the pacific northwest. The further east you are the more it costs me..or you. When you order two pounds or more It will go into a USPS medium flat rate box, that cost $10.70. I can fit I think 4 lbs into that box...less if the bulbs are huge, it just won't fit. The next size up say up to 6-10 lbs is the large flat rate box, that costs $14.50
So if you send me an email saying you want 2 -3 lbs of bulbs, you're looking at $10.70 I DO NOT make a dime on shipping
...It cost you exactly what it cost me.
